Standard Building - Retrofit Building (Rio de Janeiro)

Always alert for new investment opportunities, in 2004 Bueno Netto acquired the Standard Building, the former seat of ESSO BRASILEIRA DE PETRÓLEO in Brazil. This was a building of great architectural and historical value, a veritable landmark on Rio de Janeiro's landscape. Built in 1932 and retrofitted in 2005, the building is located in the most valued business region of Rio de Janeiro, the Flamengo Landfill. Located between 2 squares and beside the Santos Dummont airport, it offers a 180º view to the Guanabara Bay, the Sugarloaf Mountain, The Statue of Christ, the Redeemer, the city's main postcard attractions.

The retrofitting project was especially developed to house the seat of IBMEC in Rio de Janeiro. It offers 8.675 m² of total private area and floors with 880 m² of private areas each with several technological updates in order to transform the Standard Building into the best Triple AAA in the region.
